There were SEVERAL 1v1 battles in this game, as is many All-Star/All-American games, but it seemed to me as if Akinjo and Williams were not the best of friends during their battle.
Things seemed to get beyond a "friendly" battle in some of their episodes.
I posted the entire vid, but if you want to see ONLY their battles, here at the time stamps for them (including Willams highlights):

1:15: Williams block in transition
1:19: Williams assist to Miles Norris
1:33 - 2:53: Williams vs Akinjo battle
6:01: Williams self alley-oop dunk
6:11: Akinjo going at Williams
7:34: Akinjo pull-up on Williams in transition
12:31: Williams great defense on Akinjo
13:38: Akinjo tries to hit game-tying jumper on Williams

Great post with the time stamps being an especially good touch. Also, at the end of the game Williams went to shake Akinjo's and and Akinjo sorta brushed him off and kept walking away. It looked like things were personal between the 2 PG's and I really do think Akinjo is bitter about Miller picking Williams over him. Pretty interesting to watch. Glad we got Williams.

Man it's too much to respond to in this post, and it is going to be A LOT!

Was the handshake in the video I posted, or was that an in-person thing?
Either way, I wondered when I was watching this film if Akinjo felt some type of way about his recruitment with Miller/Arizona?
It was clear he wanted to come, based on the news you reported about him going to commit on his visit.
It appears Miller wanted Williams more, and must have been given the silent commit by Brandon, or something close to it for Miller to cancel Akinjo's visit.
Now in hindsight, it makes me wonder (again) if Akinjo was trying to prove (to us, himself?) that he was the better PG and we (Miller) made a mistake by choosing Brandon over him?

For the record, I was surprised by Brandon and how slick he is with the ball in his hands.
I believe Miller made the right choice, ratings aside..
