Chance originally told coaches and teammates he was going to stay for another year.  Comanche changed his mind and jumped ship early because he was skipping classes & just stopped going to classes in mid March. He was going to be in danger of being academically ineligible again just like last year.  Miller had warned him that if he were ineligible a 2nd time he would miss a lot more than just 1 game.

Chance also had gotten word that he has a good chance to make an NBA team as an alternate because of the new 2 way contracts being offered by the NBA.

That contract allows players to be the 16th or 17th man on a roster and earn between $76,000 and $275,000 which depends how many days they spend with their NBA team. The normal D-League Average salary is about $25,000. This might have all been started because of that LAMBO his aunt rented him. Read more about 2 way contracts below.

Right after the tournament I also heard Chance was telling everyone he was going to come back, next year to win the starting center spot & play along side Ayton. He went to California and when he came back he had totally changed his mind and didn't even meet up with Miller before he made his announcement. Chances are he'll be the next Grant Jerrett who was drafted as the 40th pick in the second round 2013. Jarrett has played in 2 NBA games for a total of 13 minutes. Still Wishing Chance the best of luck
