Arizona Vs Norfolk St. 🏀 Game Preview/Discussion Thread 11/29 at 2pm ESPN+

Arizona enters tomorrow's matchup against Norfolk State at 6–0, coming off a commanding 103–73 win where the Wildcats shot nearly 57% from the field and dominated the glass 50–29. Freshmen Brayden Burries and Ivan Kharchenkov continued their breakout starts with 20 points each, while Tobe Awaka controlled the interior with 15 rebounds and strong rim protection. Through six games, Arizona is averaging more than 85 points per contest, pulling down over 42 rebounds, and moving the ball effectively with close to 19 assists per game. Bradley leads the team in scoring at roughly 16.7 points per game, Awaka remains the team's top rebounder at 8 per night. After the win over Denver, head coach Tommy Lloyd said his team is "really starting to settle into who we want to be," emphasizing defensive toughness and pace of play.

Norfolk State comes in at 4–4 but riding an offensive explosion after a program-record 136–79 win in their latest outing. Forward Melo Baines delivered a perfect 15-for-15 shooting night for 30 points, while standout guard Anthony McComb III added 26 and continues to be their most reliable scorer. The Spartans shot an incredible 69% from the floor and over 80% at the line in that victory, showing the firepower they can generate when they're clicking. On the season, Norfolk State averages about 78–79 points per game, secures more than 41 rebounds, and limits mistakes with just over 11 turnovers per contest. McComb, averaging nearly 15 points per night, said this week, "We know what we're capable of when we're locked in." To challenge Arizona, the Spartans will need to shoot efficiently, stay competitive on the boards, and avoid allowing the Wildcats' depth and tempo to take over early.

Norfolk St will probably make their Conference Tournament's Semi's if not Finals and potentially go dancing so this will resemble a 1 vs 16, 2 vs 15 type of game.
