Congratulations to the team for finding a way to win this game tonight vs a team that outplayed them via having a Coach who Outcoached the living shit out of Tommy from start to finish.

We got lucky that Oregon blew their whole wad in the first few minutes.

Tommy is Telegraphed. It was too blatantly obvious that he went super small to start in hopes of getting Bittle in foul trouble right away which would have ended Oregon.

However, once that didn't work, the players decided it was time to start playing a different brand of ball. Tommy got out of the way. Awaka started scrapping. KJ chose to lock down Shelestad personally.

The fact we have guys who are determined to win despite what Tommy's plans call for good or bad (usually bad) is exactly why I like this team.

Carter has played his way into the Lottery I believe, but I hope he will stay 1 more year and play his way into the Top 3.

Henri is not a bad player as evidenced by all the glazing stats about him recently, but tonight he was made to look bad in all ways possible by Dana and Tommy.

We are incredibly Lucky that Caleb Love hit so many clutch 3's tonight. We got 1 from KJ late which helped. His first attempt basically killed our momentum. Just like Townsend had things rolling and had to take his crack at a 3. Henri took a couple, missed. We were very fortunate to have escaped.

Even the 1 instance of Tommy holding out until the very last second of being stubborn to make Dana Duck call his final timeout - I can't remember it it was around 4min or 2:45ish to go, we had just taken a 7 point lead. All with Awaka out and Henri giving away free hook shots to Bittle...

I figured that was when Tommy would have deployed Awaka and that would have been the end where we pulled away for good.

Tommy really must have had the spread tonight. Oregon +4.5

I have no idea why we have the quick turnaround to play on Thursday Night after all of these late games, but Duke also has that disadvantage although they have a Super Duper Team and have mowed down their competition without lifting a finger thus far.

Caleb Love was very Wise to not be baited into answering a loaded question after the game.

Fact is, it will take a Herculean performance and while we were able to throw some together lately, this is Duke and at minimum at least we do get to have another crack at them. Tommy just can't get in the way if we want even a puncher's chance.

Great Team Victory over Oregon. Some fans here are just living scared of Dana Duck and his Team. I am and never was one of them. Tonight had me thinking about Josh Green and Koloko's missed FT's though way back when. However, those were the days when we had the Coaching that could get us to those spots and our players came up short.

This situation feels like the opposite with players wanting to rise up to the occasion.

This may be as far as we can go, but it was extremely important for this team and Tommy's legacy that we won these games. I wish we closed out Houston for the Banner. That was something we had much more control over.
