This was one of the games in a series where we were being out-toughed in the 1st half by Grittier opponents around the Winter Break time. I believe that we just had more players this season and coming out in Game 1 provided us a boost that we didn't have midseason last year.

I will not be shocked if we begin to flame out again like last season around the same exact time, but right now my opinion is just that it was Game 1 and we had a lot of burst. I want to see if it carries cross country to Cameron Indoor. I think Filipowski is a major problem and we will find out quickly if Tommy is willing to throw enough bodies at him to make him less of a factor.

As I've said all offseason, we have all of the tools this year. Tommy has to be willing to go into battle with the full tool belt equipped.

Not looking at Morgan St at all we know Arizona has the best guard play they have had in a while. That alone says volumes about improvement.
