Had Lamar Jackson hit the NFL before Tate was to be drafted, Tate would have went 2nd-3rd round and had a backup position at minimum. The game evolved so much when Lamar showed proof of concept. Now we have Jalen Hurts, Justin Fields, Anthony Richardson, CJ Stroud, Bryce Young, Tua etc all running College Offenses with the ability to use their legs and get away with it. Too bad his timeline never added up. He was an enigma running the ball and creating open passes to hit.

PS The Coaching change ruined it big time

yeah, that and the fact he really couldn't throw the ball. I hear it's important to be able to throw at the QB position and have field awareness and the ability to read defenses one out of four ain't bad though. 2nd or third round pick lmao
BTFD!

Far be it for me to think you may have ever been a Khalil Tate fan, but I have to disagree with your satirical take even though I can tell you are trying to say what you mean and mean what you say only under the pretenses of knowing that I respected Tate's game.

Lamar Jackson is the epitome of a QB that can't throw anywhere outside the numbers accurately. He can't read defenses to the extent the Ravens had to install a personalized gimmick offense for him the last 5 seasons (Greg Roman) and now his 6th season will be with Georgia's OC Todd Monken aka still a college offense. The paradigm has shifted. The 6'5" Statue Pocket Passer is slowly dying off as the rules become easier for smaller, less talented passers, but highly athletic QBs to thrive in.

Jalen Hurts was drafted appropriately for not being an elite passer and most of his effectiveness comes in Rugby Scrums. Tate missed the boat by being too early. No one was playing football in the NFL like this when he was fresh out the gates. That is undeniable.
