This really sucks I was looking forward to Arizona  smashing Washington  today.

Now we must wait for the Oregon st. Game on Sunday.

If our team was ready to play then Washington should have forfeited. Tommy Lloyd isn't earning any brownie points being a nice guy. This is a strike on his record and will not be forgotten. Comical how people think that Washington sucks, "we'll beat them later", and therefore they should be allowed to get covid, do whatever they want with no repercussions. I won't ever root against Arizona, but I will certainly be the first one to laugh and say I told you so if this backfires.

Another conspiracy theory where you get an opportunity to place somebody else's problem on the shoulders of a head coach that you don't like.

Lloyd reiterated that he doesn't want to reschedule but it isn't his choice. The commissioner will determine whether 3 conference games in a week will be overbearing for Arizona (and UW).

Well Well Well.. If Tommy Lloyd had a backbone he would not allow his team to take the court. This is what is known as a Mexican Standoff and Tommy folded like a cheap lawn chair. Clearly he has the spine of a jellyfish if he and the team show up for the game. This is not how you earn the respect of doubters. I won't root for a loss, but more importantly if we sustain an injury in this game, UofA would have no grounds for legal action due to showing up --- but the player should be entitled to at least a 7 figure settlement for being forced to play. I know I would not take the court vs Washington without a document signed that I maintain a right to pursue legal remedies for any damages that occur to my health and even potential draft value.

It is now on the Team to take a stand because the Coach and University have betrayed them, again and again.

Mick "Gollum" Cronin currently has all of the respect in the world for taking a stand. Screw UCLA, but they get credit for this one.

Cronin and Lloyd had no ability to step in. This is purely a decision from the conference, which is clearly placing a biased advantage towards UCLA.

The players aren't going to look like a bunch of whiners and refuse to play basketball because they only have one day of rest. They don't protest when they play in the ncaa tournament with only one day off.

It's still ridiculous. You're just blaming the wrong people.

Ultimately the players are the product. They can choose not to take the court, bring national attention, be activists. But I guess selective activism is a real thing. This isn't the Big Dance or a tournament where it is expected to play games with that level of frequency. I believe that these players should take a stand against the bias and rigging. That's a personal belief, but I know I am not the only one.

The team should demand compensation for being forced into unjust labor. That's only fair. This is America. No one should think it is ok for us to be the nice guys. Whether the players demand a financial settlement or a charitable donation, they should acquire something for this.

The IARP isn't going to go lighter on us for falling on this sword, but Full release of the entire situation to play Washington would be fair as far as I am concerned. Otherwise, they can go F themselves for cheating the sportgiving UCLA the free pass.

Yeah, maybe these are the wrong people to blame, but that doesn't matter when our school, our players have all the power to say No in the form of creating a national headline. This is how the world works now whether we like it or not. UofA Basketball is not going to be the sweatshop of the Pac12 without Lloyd allowing it.
