The New Jersey native becomes the third commitment in UA's 2018 class and the second highly-rated point guard to make a pledge to Sean Miller.

Ranked 15th nationally and fourth at his position, Quinerly will be the highest-ranked point guard to arrive in Tucson since Josiah Turner in 2011.

As a junior at Hudson Catholic, Quinerly averaged 20 points and five assists per game. Both were an increase from his sophomore season where he had a stat line of 17 points and four assists per contest.

Quinerly was a MaxPreps Junior All-American pick last winter after putting up 20.4 points, 5.4 assists and 3.1 rebounds per game. Hudson Catholic went 26-4 and reached New Jersey's Non-Public B title game.

The Hawks should be prominent in the 2017-18 preseason national rankings with five of their top six scorers expected to return.

A 6-foot-1, 175-pound floor general, Quinerly is pegged as the No. 15 overall prospect in the Class of 2018 by 247Sports. The Garden State native joins Californians Shareef O'Neal of Crossroads (Santa Monica) and another point guard in Brandon Williams of Crespi (Encino) in Arizona's 2018 recruiting class.

Miller has assembled Top 10 recruiting classes each of the past four years.

Quinerly was 100% Villinova until he came to Tucson & everything changed.  One player on the team told me that he pretty much committed when he was here & told the players he was going to be a Wildcat. He actually told all of his close friends a couple of days ago.

Thanks for being the first to give us the info on where he was going to go!  Keep it up!!
