Celona Named AZ Assoc A.D. of Ticket Sales & CRM, His wife is CRM of Golden St

Chris Celona has been named Arizona's Associate Athletics Director for Ticket Sales and Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Director of Athletics Dave Heeke announced on Friday. Celona's primary duties include overseeing all areas of the ticket operations, customer service, sales, and CRM. 
 
Celona came to Tucson from the University of California, Berkeley, where he served for six years, the last three as the Assistant A.D. for Ticket Operations and Service. While at Cal, he oversaw all aspects of the day-to- day operations for the athletic ticket office and the 11 ticketed sports. He also oversaw the customer service team, which was responsible for season ticket renewals for football, men's and women's basketball, and volleyball as well as ensuring a Gold Standard customer experience. He also oversaw the newly formed analytics and data team and was part of one of the first in-house sales and service departments in college athletics.

Prior to Cal, Celona spent one year as the Ticket Operations and Sales Coordinator at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. During his time with the Minutemen, he was responsible for season ticket renewals as well as new sales campaigns. He also oversaw the start of their outbound group sales initiative.
 
Celona is a 2010 graduate from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a bachelor's degree in Sport Management. While at UMass as an undergrad, he served as the head women's basketball manager for four seasons. As head manager, he was responsible for scouting videos, administrative assistance and supervision of other managers.
 
A Yonkers, N.Y. native, Celona currently resides in Tucson with his wife Michelle, who works with the NBA Champion Golden State Warriors and oversees their CRM.
