JC DL Dereck Boles is coming to Arizona after all & Noah Jefferson is not.  Jefferson was originally transferring from USC & turns out he is not going to play for Arizona for the same reason he no longer plays at USC.

Boles should be eligible to play this year & could be a starter once he's cleared to play.  He does come with a little bit of a past. As a Freshman at Boise State, Dereck Boles appeared in all 13 games in 2015. Had a sack, 4 TFLs and 11 tackles.

One defensive lineman who was supposed to come to Arizona, won't be anymore. Another defensive lineman who was coming, then wasn't, has changed his mind and will be joining the Wildcats after all.
Wednesday, UA coach Rich Rodriguez revealed that former USC defensive lineman Noah Jefferson will not be joining the Wildcats. Jefferson, a former four-star recruit, had announced his intent to transfer to UA in March — he would have had to sit out the 2017 season, as per transfer rules — but ultimately it didn't
work out. It is still possible, down the line, that Jefferson joins the program.

Rodriguez also said that junior college defensive lineman Dereck Boles will be joining the Wildcats after all and is already in Tucson, though he still has some things academically to clear up before he can play. Boles, from Coffeyville (Kansas) Community College, had initially announced a commitment to Arizona in May, flipped his commitment to South Florida in June before ultimately settling on the Wildcats again.

"He's in Tucson, Arizona. That's (South Florida) fake news," Rodriguez said with a laugh. "It's not 100 percent yet, because he's got some academic work he's got to finish up, but we expect Dereck Boles to be part of our program pretty soon."

Boles started his career out at Boise State — when Arizona defensive coordinator Marcel Yates coached there — before he was kicked off the team after dealing with some legal issues.
