Volleyball Wins Again!

The Wildcats won all 4 matches at the Wildcat Classic this weekend and only dropped a single set the entire tournament. They have a good mix of youth and experience and have some extremely talented players. Look for middle blocker Devon Cross to be a first team all Pac-12 player this year. She hit 90% in the match against Sacremento State which is just sick!

I watched the match against New Mexico State on Friday and the team is not even close to hitting their ceiling. If they make the expected progression, I expect them to finish somewhere in the top 5 of the Pac-12 which is pretty darn good.

In Lawrence, Coach Rita said that the team implemented a new offense, so it took a few matches to adjust to the system.

Now that they seem to be comfortable, I think the ladies have a legit chance to make a deep tourney run.

Sat with Cross' family (who traveled from Cali) and they were amazing people.  Would love nothing more than to see her as a 1st teamer.

It'll be a tough month ahead after the win in Tempee on Thursday.  Good luck to the Cats!
