Cincinnati?!! WHAT? How many NC's have they won? Have they even ever been to the final four? C'mon.

I can see all o the others and cant really argue with them, but, IMO, Duke, Kansas and UCLA are all ahead of North Carolina and ANYONE should be ahead of Kentucky at #1 because they are flat out cheaters and Rupp was SOOOOOOOOO long ago.

Michigan State, Michigan, UConn, Villanova all deserve consideration for Cincinnati's spot and all four are more deserving.

bad methodology, garbage in = garbage out, what this shows is that the hype machine tends to favor certain schools but ... they got it pretty much correct

there is some rationale to call the top five - Kentucky Kansas UCLA Duke North Carolina - the true blue bloods of college hoops (high level of success over multiple eras) and the rest of the top ten also are deserving (a nattie and high level of success during an era or two), but I'd swap out out UConn for Cincinnati, the Huskies deserve to be a little higher than they are in this list

so once again proving that anyone can make a list and even if they use tainted data they can still get it pretty much right

I don't know how all this is being based but if we are talking about the best overall programs I'd switch AZ, Cuse, and Cincy with UConn, Michigan St, and Villanova. I'd probably rank us at 12 just behind Syracuse.

The formula is OK, however the "Title" is misleading.  The "best programs of all time" should be based on championships...not just the amount of weeks in the Top-25.

The time spent in the rankings is a great factor in determining longevity & success, so I enjoy reading the article (despite the fact that I recall reading it 2+ years ago!)

Thanks for posting.  Would love to see another jump in the rankings after being in the poll for the entire 2019-20 season!

I would say looking at the rankings over that long of a period it really comes down to consistency. Zona is by far the most consistent at putting out a good bball team over the past 10,20,or even 30 years of the 6 schools you mentioned.

Well.. I don't know how Liquid is going to make it through the day tbh.. the karma I am about to lose for calling a spade a spade for the last some months..

According to this, Lute AND Sean Miller now have to be considered at minimum 60/40 in terms of co-responsible for the tradition at this point maybe 55/45 even. WOW!

The all around Consistency of the program. The CONFERENCE TITLES, CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT BANNERS, TOP RECRUITS... all weighing above a simple Final Four and everything besides actual NCAA Banners... The logic just gets better and better and the evidence gets thicker and thicker.

Good on the AP for recognizing what it means to be a top College PROGRAM!
