The Heels earned a #6 seed and ducked out in the first round, solidifying Lloyd's decision to retain Krivas.

The Cats simply couldn't afford Veesaar, who fumbled the ball against VCU with seconds remaining in regulation, then missed the clutch free throws to tie in OT.

I truly wish he stayed and played the PF position but this was apparently his concept of "greener pastures".

He chose to transfer because he felt he was going to lose his spot to Krivas.
He could have easily been the depth big off the bench and been more of a weapon than Awaka because of his height at 6'11 and ability to shoot from deep while still being able to rebound and protect the rim.

Realistically, it would have prevented Koa from committing because Krivas, Veesaar and Awaka would be a 3-man rotation at two positions.

I'm obviously happy that we landed Koa, although he can't play true Center against most opponents. The Veesaar alternative would have brought a new level of versatility to this already-dangerous frontcourt.

Life works out for a reason and Koa is an X-Factor on this team. So glad he's a Wildcat.
