That's a dangerous non-conference schedule.  I love the mix of opponents and think it will help the young Cats mature throughout the season.  Can't believe that we're only two weeks away...

I don't see anyone good on this schedule tbh, but if the AP / Committee wants to hand us a ton of Quad 1 games I won't complain.

This is the Gonzaga Model. Load up on perceived hard opponents. Get extra points for the Big Dance.

The real schedule begins in Conference Play. I don't expect much from OOC this year.

We need to show we can win a Big12 Banner and maybe even a Big12 Tournament more than anything.

Good thing about this is we will have a lot of "Elite 8 Style" matchups on Paper for the ratings. So that in and of itself adds value to watching the team all season. So I do appreciate that.

PS - Where do we play some of these OOC Games when it is "Vegas" for our Opponent, but they are "home and away".... Like Florida? Are we going to their home arena next year? I don't get why we always play our OOC's in the Neutral Settings, but go to their house otherwise.

Vegas and phoenix obviously allow for fans to travel and bring a different vibe, from a media perspective.

I agree that it isn't beneficial because season ticket holders want marquee matchups at home.

Birmingham only holds 2,500 more fans than Coleman (in Tuscaloosa). Odd.

Regardless, this is the way college basketball works now.

And Arizona has plenty of solid matchups. The SEC is brutal and we're playing their top three schools, in addition to UConn, who won a couple of recent titles.

I hold no fear. I just don't think we get a fair deal in the neutral games / home and aways.
