The debate on transgender women's participation in sports brought an outspoken activist to the University of Arizona.

A law aimed to ban transgender girls participating in sports was signed into law in Arizona in 2022. That law has been challenged and is currently blocked in a federal appeals court, where its fate now awaits in the Supreme Court.
