Did anyone else catch Katz tell the Akron coach Lloyd's plan?

I thought that was weird for sure. But it would be a really crazy move for Akron to change up their scheme at halftime. They were completely outmatched and their only chance was to stick to what they did best

I sincerely doubt anyone changed anything based on what was said. Anyone can say anything. Gamesmanship is involved. While a reporter like this has no reason to lie with a "he said she said", I guarantee someone on everyone's staff is tasked to watch the broadcast of the game on a tablet for these reasons. Still don't think anyone is going to listen to Andy Katz repeat what Tommy Lloyd said without knowing for sure.

Akron was just way overmatched and shame on the Committee for making a horrible bracket this year all around.

In theory, committee picked the right field of 68 if the higher seeds win. This year has only experienced two major upsets: McNeese and Colorado State (neither of which advanced to the Sweet 16).

With the exception of UNC and possibly Texas making the tourney over UCI, Boise or WVU...the track looks like chalk. It's completely full of 1-4 seeds.

As usual you miss the point. The bracket was created like shit. The regions were made horribly. It isn't about a 16 or 15 team busting people's brackets. It is an absolute logistical shit show that is going on. Any seeds 4 and up should not be put through traveling Hell if that is one of the excuses the committee hides behind as they always say we want teams to play closest to home as they can

KansasCityCats

There's no possible way for the committee to accommodate all the internet trolls.

68 teams must be seeded properly, ensuring that they don't play a repeat opponent in the early round...AND play near home (despite having regionals in the four corners of America).

With the exception of UNC, I think they did pretty well this March.

Interesting article that mentions Townsend.  NIL absolutely plays a big role in the remaining Sweet 16 teams, in addition to the Committee's seedings.  I assume that mid-majors aren't "obsolete" because major programs (see KU for example) can't form chemistry between the excessive amount of transfers, which puts the smaller schools at an advantage.
