Winning Out

I believe Winning Out is very important.

Yes we got hosed vs BYU in some ways, but we didn't play any defense in More ways.
Yes we lost a tight one, winnable vs Houston.
Yes we survived Baylor. Survived. Not thrived. Tough game and we won it.
Yes we got worked by KSU in Manhattan where no one good wins.

The Committee knows this. 1-3 in our last 4 is not good, but the Eye-Test knows we haven't fallen off.

HOWEVER

If we continue to skid from here, then if I were on the Selection Committee I would consider dropping us as far as 7, 8, 9, or 10.

We cannot be losing to Utah who are pesky.
We cannot get beat in a revenge scenario by ASU playing their hearts out because we talk a lot of shit.
We need to win @Kansas who is not anything to write home about this year and prove we can close out the season on a high note.
We NEED to prove to the Committee that we aren't a Lame Duck by winning @Iowa State.
--> The toughest true road game of the year IMHO. We need a signature win. Doesn't matter if they have injuries or not. They were only down 2pts @Houston with a couple minutes to go before their wheels fell off. No excuses will be tolerated.

4/4 would make a statement. Double Bye aside. It would all-but-insure a 3 seed for whatever that is worth to this team (I am not convinced it is worth much).

This is all about getting our Mojo back and making a statement that we can punch back and go on a run.

The best teams usually close out the season on a high note. USUALLY.

Winning 6 in a row is hard to do for any team, but we don't need to make it any harder on ourselves than it already is.

Winning the Big12 Conference Tournament would be a tremendous achievement in Year 1 of the Big12 for Tommy Lloyd and no one will give him more flowers for that than me if it occurs. It is not expected by many, but it is #2 on my list of Season Long Goals.

1. Win the Conference Title
2. Win the Conference Tournament Banner
3. Recruit.
4. March Madness National Championship. (In this, no where is a Final 4 important to me. It it 1 more win than an Elite 8 and about 5 more days of Media Coverage unless it is paid off by going the distance)
