Brennan let this team get complacent again. I said it many times. Run the ball.

49 Drop backs was unnecessary, but if you are going to do it, then at least be efficient.

30 Runs with Conley averaging basically 7 yards per run. I have no idea why they went away from it.

79 Total Plays vs 57? for Texas Tech... Completely outcoached. I'd venture to say Pathetic.

Fifita was garbage tonight.

Plenty of blame can be given from the ball security angle to the lack of urgency.

However Brennan didn't get this team up for the game and they played down to the competition big time.

All momentum the program had is gone again.

Now we have to go play @BYU with no head of steam and no team identity at all.

T-Mac isn't doing Noah any favors lately. The chemistry is definitely off. I expected some ups and downs this year, but I didn't expect to give games away like this. We squandered big time. I think we may have to run the table to have a Puncher's chance to make the Championship Game and CFP now.

Our schedule is no longer favorable when you look like ass vs a team like Texas Tech. Sure, they are 4-1, but they are not the 2000 Ravens on defense like we made them look like. Too many FG or FGA's, not enough imagination to score Touchdowns. That's on the coaching. 100%.

However, once again, when you hit rock bottom, the only place you can go is...

Reminds me a lot of a game like this ^^^^^ where the amount of plays to lack of points is disgusting. Take a look at the box score. Utterly sad beyond belief.

Not as sad as this box score though:

Never seen one as biblically bad as this, but a loss is a loss either way and tonight was one that we will want to have back big time.

100%.

The play calling wasn't the issue. 27 of the 49 pass attempts were in the 4th quarter because we were playing catch up. The offensive calls obviously worked because we scored 16 consecutive points and actually had more rushing attempts than TTU throughout the evening.

Fifita just had a bad night, which was partially attributed to the O-Line not giving him ANY time to be comfortable in the pocket. Regardless, we had a great chance to win the game until T-Mac fumbled.

The OL struggled to create any holes in the first half for our running game, which cost us easy points, specifically with the failed 4th down conversion.

I personally think that a weapon like Speedy Luke could have been the difference in the game but we didn't have any weapons to make big plays because the Raiders constantly doubled T-Mac.

Can't disagree with any of this.  We were terrible last night for sure.  Hopefully we right the ship

and FWIW, I'm not pointing any blame towards T-Mac for the fumble. He's the best receiver in college football and it isn't even close. People make mistakes and I guarantee that he'll keep the ball high and tight when he makes the next big 20+ yard play over the middle.
