One Shining Moment

I have to use my unbiased opinion and say that this was one of the single worst One Shining Moment video packages of all time.

Barely any footage from the Title Game. Usually that is a good bit of the song toward the end.

Not much to honor the Champions (I wish we would have gotten a crack at them, I think it would have been a great matchup)

I realize there were not many upsets nor Cinderellas, however, they got the video package incorrect overall. Just because there were basically Zero buzzer beaters doesn't mean they couldn't have shown more clutch moments.

In fact, I watched every single game of March Madness. I would venture to say if there were "5-8 games" to choose as the best games of the whole Tournament, at least a few were in the First Four alone.

On a biased note - I would have liked to have seen Keshad Johnson's massive dunk. It was the best dunk of the entire Dance by far. There were some put-back dunks, but not singular dunks.

I also think that Tommy gave the NCAA Nothing overall to put in the video package. No emotion to show for anything. Maybe the team was told to not care? I don't know. Not one player showed emotion in our losses 2 years in a row. We had some good emotion in our Wins and during the Clemson comeback. All I really noticed was Bradley looking a bit dejected by a Clemson play that seemed like a moment where he realized he couldn't carry the team on his back single handedly anymore.

There was once a year where TJ McConnell and Zews were isolated in One Shining Moment for an ALL IN emotional "LET'S GOOOO" Moment as they were running back in transition (I believe vs St Mary's? in a very tough game that we were trailing and had to navigate our way back).

Either Arizona is just omitted from the NCAA or there is too much "business" involved these days and not enough PRIDE in the Craft.

I hope that our Culture continues to evolve. The expectations are always the highest for us as fans, but outside of our very small bubble, the "world" doesn't really respect Arizona Basketball like we think they do. We have an expansive fanbase yet we never seem to show out like we used to over the past 2 other coaches.

In Fact, being the only True Native West Coast team in the S16 and having such a poor show out for a fanbase was pretty irking to me. I can barely remember much "UofA" chanting going on. Now, I know UNC and Bama travel. I know they were rooting for Clemson because that was the perceived "easy path". I also think all the karma came to everyone who deserved it including us.

Again, I just hope that this Culture continues to grow under Tommy and that we can actually hit the ground running in the Big12. The biggest nightmare would be to show up and get slapped around by a much tougher Conference. I think we will be ready, but we won't know until we see it.

Joining the Big12 should get us back onto the island of relevancy and as we are currently a Football school, our Basketball notoriety should increase. I just hope that our Basketball Fanbase can stop taking it for granted. We haven't had the success that it seems like a lot of us remember in a long time. A lot of people take Elite Eights for granted. We had 3 of them in a 5 year period with 2 separate cores. Just because Tommy was able to stack wins in a dying conference with a head start of talent doesn't mean it was automatically carry over. So I ask that everyone hold Tommy and the Administration accountable so that we can all continue to enjoy the new era of Arizona Basketball (and Football)
