Arizona is scoring 89.3 points per game and they are shooting 49% from the field. Stanford has been decent so far this season and they are coming off of a road win against ASU, but they are allowing 75.6 points against per game on defense. I went against Arizona in their last game against Cal and I learned my lesson. This team is very good and they can flex their muscle against poor defensive teams. Take Arizona here.

Very lucky that Stanford was without their star. We are also lucky this was at home.

If there is anything to be learned here it is Bradley needs to take over as the starter and Boswell should be grateful if he gets 15 minutes.

Oumar Ballo has so much more energy when Bradley in on the court.

When Keshad is having an off-night or is unable to defend a bigger PF, at least Tommy has shown willingness to put him on the bench too.

Krivas is underutilized, every big run we had started with Krivas out there. Tommy can't be scared to deploy him. He must find a way to use Krivas even if it means playing Ballo with Krivas at times.

Finally it is abundantly clear that our optimal bundle is playing Pelle and KJ at the same time with Love. So if that means Bradley needs to learn how to pick and roll lob then so be it. Caleb Love isn't great at it, but his willingness is important. The alley-oops are there all day, but there needs to be a relentless willingness to play inside the arc. Only Bradley, Love, Pelle, and KJ are willing to do it consistently.

Lucky to survive giving up 14 3's. Tommy still hasn't figured it out. Matching and measuring d*cks 3pt shot for 3pt shot is not playing basketball on our own terms and we were lucky to hit a bunch of them early on or we would have been down 20+ at the half. Very lucky to have just manned up in that pissing contest. I don't like playing on our opponent's terms. That is how we got in trouble in all of our losses. However, if our defense is not going to be the strength then at least we have some guys who are unafraid even if Tommy is scared.

Pretty solid win. I will grade it a B- even though it was a C type of performance. I think Tommy's willingness to take Boswell and Keshad out of the equation was crucial and that is worth something to me - However Tommy went back to Boswell down the stretch, got away with it for a couple possessions before he started melting down. Knowing to pull the plug on that was clutch though.

Keep this going Tommy. Credit when credit is due. Fair Criticism when justified.

Onward and Up,

We aren't lucky that it was at home; we already played Stanford on the road and lost. Arizona is definitely lucky that Stanford's best scorer was injured in tempee.

Ballo played with more energy because he is proving to himself that he's better than the way he has performed over the past few games. He had the same intensity, regardless of which player assisted his lobs.

Pelle was the star of the game, although Lewis and Ballo were stellar. Stanford is a sneaky-athletic team and they're playing quality bball. Arizona overcame a few deficits and kept their composure. Props to the players and staff.

Glad arizona  pulled this one out, stanford is a pesky team, an they are a deadly   3 point shooting team.

Stanfords center reminded  of frank Kaminsky  hitting 3 pointers an scoring inside, it really bothered me, until  ballo blocked his shot at the end.

Credit to tommey  Lloyd  for going with the lineup  that was defending  the best for a majority  of the second half, arizona  doesn't  win otherwise.

I hope Boswell stops hesitating  on open shots, he hurts the team when he does.

Overall a big win.

We are a different team at home. The proof is in the pudding. We are lucky. And Ballo is trash with Boswell. He plays a stronger brand of basketball when Boswell is off the floor. This is Krivas's team now. Ballo needs to be relegated to the bench and come in as an overpowering energy guy, but until Tommy figures that out, we are stuck with this product where all we can do is stand around and watch Caleb Love carry us. I've never seen a team that was so good in terms of the infrastructure or foundation bringing in a transfer or two that completely took over the entire team and coaching top to bottom like Love and Keshad have. Tommy is literally riding Caleb Love.
