It was being reported earlier today that Lloyd had a new contract extension. He has not agreed to a new contract.

Someone remind me what the limitations are on a contract extension. Isn't it something like you can only add an additional 5 years onto the current contract? Or is it you can only extend the current contract by an amount to equal 5 years total? Ex: 3 years left, can only extend by 2 years.

ABOR restricts state employees from signing contracts longer than five years. He could only reconfigure the deal and add two years max.

Oh boy...

Ohhhhh boyyy...

Mark Few on his way to the glue factory? Or Tahiti?

If you're scared Tommy just say so. The Big12 is not going to be Patty Cake.

I'd love to have you on board for the long haul, but only if you are up to it. I'm not putting up with any 1 foot in, 1 foot out approaches.

Either embrace the challenge or let's figure out how to move on sooner than later.

One Ghoul gone, maybe more soon. If Tommy isn't committed then maybe there's a certain Penguin who might be interested now that some of the betrayal garden is being plowed down.

I don't think a significant portion of the fanbase is clamoring for a return of the Packline to Tucson.

This isn't a situation where Lloyd is bolting. It's likely related to the administration debacle. The university wants to show Lloyd that they want to be loyal, despite the ugly circumstances that surrounded our football coaching turnover.

This is 100% accurate. The debacle with the football coach contract resulting from inaction brought these questions to light about all coaches. If the University is not willing to move faster on extensions and contracts they will lose more coaches. Verbal offers don't mean jack in the business world ask any judge. And if the UA can't get their "financial" issues under control without impacting our coaches then its time to look for new administration that can.

Ya I'm sure Sean is itching to come back to a place that fired him. I'll always be a Sean Miller supporter because he genuinely loved his players, but he had his chance here and he's better off being somewhere else
