Scheer being Scheer.

Most on brand thing I've seen in a while.

I know I was getting better up to date info from Jacob than anyone associated with Scheer during this football mayhem.

Yea, similar thing to what happened between Ace and Scheer. That did get personal and ugly beyond reason and was not justified. However, I can attest we were talking about things with Ace anywhere from 24 hrs to 7 days prior to Scheer or anyone else putting anything out. There were times we were PM'ing and laughing at how long it took for the other sites to even mention stuff that to us was old news.

Scheer is actually a good guy and really felt threatened, so take it for you want. I am not criticizing or condemning him. He tends to do a decent job on the FB boards when he doesn't get lazy. Basketball? Not as good though. Ace had a connection in the staff with that and had the info way up front to many times for me to ever believe otherwise. There were things we knew that at times we could just not mention period. We waited until someone else broke the story before talking about it. Totally true!

I have spoken to Scheer face to face and he did not know who I was. He is a good guy. One of my best friends long ago "Allen" got me started on Brad Allis and I found his info delayed a bit but more accurate at the time than some of the other writers. Basketball was Ace's thing. FB was my thing. Allen was into both.

As for Jacob, I know who he is and would say he has some good stuff for a young guy. Hope he sticks with it.

Scheer tweeted like he created the Humberto news.

I don't really know nor care, but Scheer just seems threatened by new, young blood coming into his space. What he is doing here is what Wreck It Ralph said, trying to disrupt his disrupter. I can't really imagine anyone paying Scheer for his intel, but he obviously makes a living doing this. In a small market where practically no one wastes their time ambulance chasing UofA Sports news, I can see how Scheer would feel the need to attack or go on the offensive against a 21 year old kid.

Typical internet trolls just call each other out, instead of sending a PM and attempting to be civil FIRST.

Why not talk before you publicly blast somebody that you obviously don't know?  Seems immature for a professional but I don't know the situation; perhaps the guy stole info...

I don't care because I'm not paying.

In that industry, I can understand the need to create turmoil to help fuel the fire, but there is no honor amongst thieves as the old saying goes. I don't blame the kid for doing his job by any means necessary. If Scheer really wanted to do something about it he can get a Cease and Desist. Scheer instead is going the other route of trying to discredit the guy and hope to gain from it. We will see if it works or backfires.
