There may have been some discussion on this buried in another post, but here goes anyways.
What are the chances we schedule UCLA, USC, Oregon, maybe Washington,  every year or every other year for  OOC games going forward? While I look forward to KU, Baylor, Houston, etc. regular season games with the Big 12, I will miss some of these West Coast rivalries. Great for recruiting and the West Coast Arizona alums too. OOC is often not set that far out but has anyone seen anything on this? USC, UCLA, Oregon may not want the tough OOC game once they are in the Big 10 or it could be seen as good prep for their regualar season. And Walton would be pleased to do the games for free I bet

I know FB, CJF, wants to use the slots currently scheduled for TTU 34, KSU 24-25, BYU 26-27, to play some non-con games in California.

I was thinking mostly basketball but sure, football too.

Yes I would think the same for all our sports. Lots more options in Non-Conf games in others sports. D1 FB, not so much.

It's a nice thought for Basketball. Tommy has ducked playing Mark Few and the Zags so far and our slate will already be tumultuous, but as KC Cat has said --- the excuse of a tough conference slate has provided reason to lose games. I agree, enough so - that I would in fact schedule the likes of Oregon, UCLA, Duke, UNC, Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama, Miami, Michigan, Michigan St, and Maryland just to have a very exciting marquee slate to watch since March Madness is by far the dumbest way for anyone to flex their superiority. Much better to be the hottest product to watch for 4 months then 3 weeks in a crap shoot.

In fact, this type of scheduling concept would be Lute Olson-ian which I would be very proud to see.

Football wise I can't see anyone wanting to pay us to play us and no way should we be paying anyone big money to get thwomped.

How has Lloyd "ducked" Few?  Which coaches have scheduled OOC matchups against their predecessors?  Maybe Capel VS Coach K?  It rarely occurs...and two seasons is barely sufficient time to prove that he's been avoiding a matchup against his former program.

KCC, you have to be very happy (assuming you are still living around Kansas City). An hour to KU and two hours to KSU. a little over 3 hours to Iowa State and under 5 hours to OSU. Road trips!!!!

Oh, and I agree, no reason for Tommy to duck Few. Do a home and home

I was so desperate to get my Arizona fix, I drove to Columbia to cheer against assu, when they played Mizzou in football. I'll be taking a significant amount of road trips for every sport...

Yup. Also hoping that Arizona and Gonzaga reschedule the west coast rivalry.
