I think he has a chance to be a good NBA player. Not great, but good. He is a tenacious rebounder and I think his athleticism translates.

Kentucky has 5 or 6 Five Stars coming in next year. Their payroll is huge. These players aren't all One and Done's either. They may all earn as much as a Lottery Pick by the end of College and still get drafted. This is the new era.

Damn.....  Tucson might become a ghost town.  NIL is going to destroy the sport (s)

That's so ridiculous, paying him that kind of money to play college basketball...NIL was the worst idea known to man, and already has ruined the sport...It's awful, there's no loyalty anymore, just who will pay them the most..Half of the kids could care less if they win a national championship, just make as much money as possible is all that matters.

I'm done with college basketball. NIL has destroyed it. If I want to see multi-million $ brats, I'll watch the NBA. Goodbye college ball.

Deb

Almost 3 mil for one player? on a team who for the last two seasons has won even less ncaa postseason games than us!

I just don't get paying out that kinda cash for what often amounts to a piss-poor product on the floor.

I had the same sentiments, Deb. Kentucky has a veteran coach, dedicated fanbase, amazing facilities and 5* players that obviously make ridiculous money.

If they can't win, they don't deserve to be playing D-1 basketball. Until their late season "run" against a crappy SEC, UK was a bubble team. Pretty sad.
