Brandon Dawkins seems to be the clear leader at QB right now & is throwing some tight spirals with good touch. He's the only player wearing the red No contact jersey

Khalil Tate threw a few perfect dimes in practice & is really not getting enough run

Donovan Tate made some nice throws and did a good job of reading the defense

Nathan Tilford is a beast & looked good catching passes out of the backfield.  Khalil Tate hit him on a wheel route for an easy six yesterday

TE Trevor Wood (6-6, 265) could have breakout year if he stays healthy

Freshman linebacker Tony Fields has a lot of speed and looks the part of a play-making front-seven force

Cornerback Jace Whitaker has looked good breaking up passes

Freshman defensive end Jalen Harris has a good speed rush off the edge

Defensive tackle Jack Banda sacking Tate, because he held the ball too long

Anthony Pandy looked strong in pursuit and also broke up a pass

Rhett Rodriguez looked best when he was tucking and running

Defensive backs Lorenzo Burns, Jarrius Wallace and Scott Young appear to be young defenders who will play right away

Safety Tristan Cooper and tight end Bryce Gilbert did not participate because of undisclosed injuries

Transfer defensive tackle Dereck Boles has a strong power rush inside. Boles isn't fully cleared academically, but we'll find out by Tuesday if he is. Looks like he will be 👍
