We're going to be the most popular U.S. college team in the French speaking world.
Larsson is an interesting transfer from Utah. He was a hell of a shooter...but erratic with the ball. I like his upside.
Nolan Hickman should be our #1 priority. TyTy is ridiculously talented, but he won't be around for more than 2 years. Hickman is a long-term prospect that can handle the ball and run the offense alongside Kerr. Dangerous backcourt for 3-4 years!
As far as the foreign players go...gotta trust Lloyd that these kids are talented enough to jump in and play D-1 ball. He proved himself at Gonzaga with the foreign prospects.
I still hope we can land ty ty I just won't get my Hope's up.
Hickman would be very good. There is alot/ talk though he may go to Kansas, Gonzaga so who knows.
I am hoping we land kaluma .
I was literally thinking about updating the old thread.
I guess this would work and I will jump back on the 2022 Prospects List when those offers officially come in.
I wonder how many offers Lloyd is going to allow to stand, and how many new ones are going to go out?

Any updates on Hickman? I'm keeping my fingers crossed on TyTy...but still personally think (in my amateur opinion) that Nolan would be the best long-term commitment for our program. If he could allow Kerr to occasionally play off-ball this season and share duties at the point in the future...he would likely turn into a solid NBA prospect.

Hickman didn't mention us when talking about teams he was in communication with -- I don't think we're in it for him. As stated elsewhere, it seems as though CTL is showing Tyty he's our pick until he commits...then he'll move on.
Thanks.
I just had a dream that Lloyd would get the job, sneak in & snag him (ala Momo in 2009).
We really need a pg. I am sure lloyd will find someone since ty ty is Kentucky bound. I will fill better when he adds one.
I really hope we kaluma we need that athletic 4 we were lacking one last year.
We will be able to match up better on defense with kaluma .
Good Lord!
I did some Googles, and both Bal and Dieng are rail thin!
I am sure if they came, I believe they be placed on redshirt for the 2021-22 season to be able to put on some healthy/quality weight.
Based on the small clips I just watched, I would fill out the roster with these guys (in this order):
Kaluma
Hickman
Dieng
Bal
Cook
Dieng wont accept a redshirt when he's a projected top 20 nba pick in 22.
On another note it will be exciting to watch literally all of our players (minus Nowell) play for Fiba u19 this summer. I think that will be a better time to judge our lineups and who looks ready to compete.
Pelle won't play in the u19 wc. Sweden did not qualify. He might play in the u20 European championship
I really like dieng good size for a wing don't know if Arizona is still recruiting him. I think if he came hear I think he would make an immediate impact.
I hope we keep shane nowell.
This was tweeted today. Not sure if we really contacted the kid and are recruiting him or if the Arizona name is jut being thrown around.
Georgia Guard - Justin Kier
https://twitter.com/jakeweingarten/status/1392896181479563268
No thanks. We have enough combo guards that are primarily shooters.
Not with Kier being 6'4.
I would have been able to think about it if he were 6'6 or taller.
Our 1-2 rotation is basically set as we can/will have both Mathurin/Terry/Bal all being over 6'6 and I am positive are going to be playing 1-3 depending on the situation.
Arizona needs more true SFs right now, which we don't have ANY, based on size Mathurin/Terry can play there though.
I am dying to get one of those 6'7 or 6'8 wings in here that are BUILT like Cade Cunningham.
I know the game is getting smaller/faster, but the traditionalist in me would still love to throw out that 2013-14 lineup where we put Gordon at SF, with Ashley/Tarczewski? Sheesh!
I think the SF is covered with Terry/Mathurin playing there exclusively. Mathurin will likely play SG when Kerr/Terry are in the game together...which will be a bulk of the minutes. If Terry steps out, I assume Benn will step in at SF and a shooter like Pelle/Nowell will step in.

I think the SF is set when Tubes in the lineup playing PF with Ballo or Koloko at the center. My concern is when we need to play against smaller lineups by putting Tubes at the 5. That leaves us with a big whole for someone to play the PF spot. Yes, Terry could step in and do it, I just think he is still too slender to battle for boards and bang down low. Here is the current roster with height and weight.
C Christian Koloko (7-1 220)
C Oumar Ballo (7-0 260)
PF ĄÅžuolas Tubelis (6-10 240)
SF Tautvilas Tubelis (6-7 210)
SG Dalen Terry (6-7 190)
SG Bennedict Mathurin (6-6 195)
G Adama Bal (6-6 180)
SG Shane Nowell (6-5 180)
G Pelle Larsson (6-5 215)
PG Kerr Kriisa (6-2 165)
That is why we need Kaluma. Hopefully announcing later is not a bad sign.
Right on, DT4. Hopefully, Rounds can bulk up Terry in the offseason so he can keep up with opposing PF's.
I think that situation will be rare because Koloko/Ballo should share most minutes at C with Tubelis in at the 4.
The "wildcard" is Tautvilas. If he can come in and play 6-10 minutes per game, our only real concern will be PG depth.
I don't think little Tubelis will (ever) be a factor.
Agreed on little tubelis I don't think he will ever really play here he may leave when his brother goes pro.
He will certainly leave with his brother.
Which could work in our favor. Maybe Zu stays for three years so his bro can get his degree.
I sure hope lloyd finds a pg. Somewhere
Transfer ,euro maybe franger pirela who plays in Spain, someone an I really want a true pg not a combo guard.
Scratch Aaron Cook off the list as he's committed to Georgia.

With the recent recommitment of Nowell, I would scratch Alexander off the list, bring in Dieng and move on to the 2022 class.
I am really eager to see how much different those offers are going to be from Miller to Lloyd when they start to roll out.
Dieng is now off the list.

Trey Alexander is has committed to Creighton. He's now off the board.

Looks like we are officially on to the 2022 class then..
I hope Lloyd can find a big for the 21 class somewhere we only have 3 lacking depth there.
Also a pg. If possible .

I really doubt we are done getting a big.

I mentioned in another thread that I believe Lloyd is going to run a 1/3/1 lineup with one PG, three wings and one big.
It only makes sense right now, especially when you think that there was only one decent big that Lloyd was going after.
He hit the transfer portal and brought in 6'4/6'5 and then recruited 6'5/6'6 as incoming freshmen?
Our bigs are 6'10/6'10 and 7'0, but we only have three of them, so how exactly would CTL be able to split 40mins between three bodies?
I do not believe there is an answer to that question other than putting BM/DT/AB at PF in a small-ball lineup.
You may be right on a small lineup with only one big, we will have to wait an see there is still time to add players , lloyd said he was looking to use all of the scholarships.
Going small?
Lloyd will be forced to use "positionless" basketball along the "wings". Kerr will likely spend a lot of time at the point & Koloko/Ballo will split in the post while Tubelis will play a majority of the minutes at the 4.
Otherwise, Kerr's leftover minutes and 80 minutes split at SG/SF will be distributed between everybody else. I expect a lot of experiments to see which players work best alongside each other because each 2/3 on our roster has a unique set of skills.
It will defently be intersting to see how lloyd rotates the guards out.
