For those who have frustrations with Arizona not being able to penetrate the zone over the years...you should watch Dook!
It must have been painful to be a Coach K fan last night, as Pitt forced the Devils to shoot more 3-point shots than 2-pointers in the first half. Despite being significantly bigger, they settled with outside jumpers...and only went 3 of 17 from deep in that opening half.
With Akinjo and Brown at the point (and Kriisa coming within the next couple weeks), we seem to be MUCH better at finding the open man at the top of the key...which eventually opens up easy buckets. We also have long wings/post players that are solid passers (Terry, Mathurin, Tubelis, Lee, etc.).
Not sure if this is a contribution from Jason Terry, but less teams are playing 100% zone against the Cats this season. I'm proud to say that our ball movement seems to be light years ahead of a few blue-bloods...
