If I am right, those scholies will not count against the normal limit as well.
interesting, but this seems like its the right thing to do for guys who might not go big-time pro immediately, I like the idea of IL sticking around
This is a fair move for the impacted players and hopefully we can benefit from having Lee and Brown stay with us.
From a competitive perspective it's important to remember that a lot of other teams are going to benefit from this far more than we will. From the 2017 class we lose Ayton and Randolph as early entries and Akot and Barcello as transfers. Any other strong senior class with less atrophy or better transfers gained a leg up.
True, but the best players will still leave!

I agree with this notion as this does not, and will not effect those that consider themselves top 50 prospects.
Those that do not believe their stock is high enough might consider coming back, or they could be pushed out, or they could simply leave because they don't want to be in school anymore.

Yes and an extra year to work toward your masters degree for free? Why not? I would if it were me. And they won't count against the scholie cap.

Oh of course!
You milk the school of all of the free education/perks that you can for as long as you can.
The biggest issue I see with this is for the schools who are able to reload and will try to push a quality player out to make room (minutes) for an incoming freshmen.
I have heard what the NCAA says, but lets not act like there won't be coaches that will still try to push a rotation player out of the way to try and create more minutes for the incoming recruiting class.
This will be interesting to see how this plays out in collage basketball.
I think it makes it tougher on coaches when they are trying to fill those spots you have to know what the players are thinking unless this does not count against the teams limit.
Would ira an t.brown even want another year who knows
