Scrolling through Twitter, happened to see a commitment video.
KJ Simpson, a 6'2 guard out of Chaminade HS in West Hills, CA announced his commitment to Arizona via social media earlier today.
247 has Simpson as the 95th player in the country, 7th combo guard & 6th player in the state of California.
ESPN also has Simpson has a 4* prospect, but he is not ranked in their ESPNU top 100 rankings.
He is 22nd at his position and 8th in the state of California.

Nice addition! Love the west coast kids that were highly recruited, but not jumping directly to the league. K.J. sounds like he will be another nice addition to a versatile backcourt.

I understand that Miller has altered his recruiting a bit, focusing more on hybrid Gs that he can pair together, but I am looking for the longer wings that can actually play on the perimeter.
We land a few 6'7/6'8 players but they don't (or can't) play on the perimeter they way Gordon/Hollis-Jefferson could.
The game has focused more on premier G/C play, but the Wings are what make the teams go, by being able to check off all of the boxes that the "stars" can not, or will not do for the team.
Right now, I don't believe Terry/Mathurin at 6'6 are big (tall) enough, Tubelis is athletic enough, and Gorener is big (muscle/mass) enough.
The talent is there though, but it is going to be interesting to see how this 2020-21 team is going to look pending the pandemic.
I like his game.

Some additional highlights. Kid kind of reminds me of a more athletic London Perrantes. Got ourselves a nice core with Simpson, Akinjo, and Kriisa running things in the coming years.
From watching footage of kj. He reminds me of nick Johnson.
I like what I see an he should be here for a while to develop his game.
I hope kj has connections to players out west .
I know he is friends with nathon bittle sounds like he will recruit him .
I really hope Arizona can land atleast one wing the options mashack who I think is a Sean miller kinda player an plays defense.
There's dunn who is a shooter, an caleb's houston who is also a shooter.
Hopefully he can recruit mashack he is a cali kid an seems to be a fit at Arizona.
Miller needs to get back to recruiting recruits that fit the program like he use especially how much Miller prioritize defense.
