The Arizona Wildcats already have a 5-Star PG in Brandon Williams committed for 2018. Usually, Arizona would've stopped persueing any other PG's especially with Alex Barcello coming in this season. Things have changed & Sean Miller wants to add 1 more 5 star PG to next years class. He has offered 4 other PG's Devon Dotson, Jahvon Quinerly, Quentin Grimes, & Immanuel Quickley. Both he & Romar have been recruiting them all non stop, watching them play over the last few weeks.
Miller has made it clear that he is determined to have 2 5-Star PG's on the floor in 2018. The type of PG's he recruiting both have to be ball handling skills & can score. He now wants to have the PG's slide over to play SG to increase the pace to beat & shoot over the zone defenses.
You've got to love the fact that Miller has learned from his losses & is willing to change his philosophy. He is evolving right before our eyes & adjusting to the new way the game is being played
Wonder if he will ditch the true center? Hope not. But basketball is changing. Teams throwing 4 guards and a forward at us a lot of the time.
If he is sliding PGs over to play SG, what does that mean for the SGs that he brings in?
I will have to wait until 2018 to see it, but I wonder what his preferred lineup will look like:
G
G
G/F (whichever is better)
F
F/C (whichever is better)
We have seen it last season with the three-guard lineup, but I think the style of play will be different once Miller has all of his new players in tact.
