Recently departed Arizona Assistant coach Gainey was his lead recruiter, so take that for what it's worth.

I was going to say the same thing coach Gainey is gone an he was his lead recruiter at Santa Clara sure won't help any with his recruitment see if Marquette trys to recruit him now.
I wouldn't consider this dead yet. Despite being rivals, Herbie and Miller has a pretty good relationship and I could envision this as a legit possibility.
I like what I saw from this kid. Nice length and a lot of improvement on his shot as the season progressed.
Could be nice player that would sit out an be ready the following year he can make shots from 3 also.
Well, losing Gainey is not a good thing, but Marquette was not on his list of schools YET!
Congrats to Gainey, but we know that if we are going to be considered elite, this is what is going to come with the territory unless Miller is going to be able to give his assistants a more competitive rate to get them to stay longer.
That's true the word is Arizona s assistant coaches are underpaid compared to some other schools
