Just wondering if anybody knew if Ray Smith would have any type of "official" connection to the team this year? Or if he is even still attending the U of A?
Ray Smith is still very much a part of the team as a the executive student coach for the Arizona Wildcats. His main goal now is to become a college basketball analyst.

That's awesome. Exactly what I was hoping to hear.
That is probably going to be on the one player (along with J.Turner) we had that I will always wonder what could of been?
R.Smith appears to be a very bright kid and I am sure he is going to find success wherever God takes him.
Yeah, I talked to Ray today and verified he's a student coach. Hate to think about what could've been had he not got injured this last time around.

We could have ended up with a better regular season record, won the regular-season PAC-12 title outright, still won the PAC-12 Tournament, possibly entered the draft as a #1 seed, would have beat Xavier in the Sweet 16, and had one of the most-hyped games in the entire season with a rematch against Gonzaga as both of us would have been a top-10, maybe even top-5.
We may not have won, but we would have been as hyped as we have ever been, and we may have sent five players to the NBA Draft in Simmons,Alkins,Trier,Smith,Comanche along with our lone senior Allen.
Things may have been VERY different for us, we may have been coming off of our first Final Four.
