2020 Mayfair (CA) G Joshua Christopher has received an offer from Arizona's Sean Miller. He's the brother of former Cal Bear Patrick Christopher.https://twitter.com/VerbalCommits/status/886290194885861376

Everyone should know that the school that normally offers first, does not land the big fish.
Cal is trying to jump out on him before he blows up (assuming he does) on the recruiting scene.
Ira Lee is telling him to come to UofA

I never understood why current/signed players would try and get a commit from a player at least two recruiting classes away.
Our team is going to be vastly different in 2-3 years and who knows what we are going to be going after.
Unless he is a 6'8 SF that is athletic, versatile and able to do several things on the floor, we may or may not need him.
Funny that you mentioned that. He's actually projected to be at lest 6'8 by the time he's ready for college. It is pretty crazy how young these kids are getting offered now a days.

Yeah, I like that height for a SF.
Big (height) enough to be able to guard/play SF, yet just small enough to still play SF and be a matchup nightmare since most SF are not that big.
I don't do well with projections.
We had a player come in in 2014 and a lot of posters were speculating he would grow to be about 6'0 since he had an older brother that 6'3 or so.
Well he didn't grow an inch, but I still love him and his game.
Hell I was projected to be about 6'4.
I missed that by about an inch or so depending on how I choose to stand while getting measured.
Added highlights above.

Nice quote on from Christopher on Miller.
Miller watched one of the top 2020 prospects Josh Christopher yesterday.

Update on Josh Christopher and Arizona
Arizona: "They just always tell me that this is the school for you and they send me the accolades of the program and what they have done for their players whenever a guy is in an all-star game or does this or that in the NBA They send me some stuff on that so I have the mindset of what Arizona can do for me."
See what Josh says about all the schools he's interested in.

OK - he's not a 14yr old and in the 2020 class, right? That would mean he skipped three or four grades...
I thought that too until I saw this thread started two years ago so he must be around 16 now.
Without knowing anything, I'd say Arizona/UCLA/Florida State on this one.
ASSU/Cal/FSU have the relationship factor with the older brothers.
Dream scenario for Cal would have been landing Kidd as their coach.
He comes in, brings the NBA pedigree with him and is a real player in this recruitment.
UCLA also has a new coach, I would say we should be in a good spot.

I noticed A LOT of the prospects on our 2020 board are highly ranked.
I am talking about bonafide 5*, top 25 prospect talent.
I know Miller won't land much, but damn that's a lot to choose from!
They are scattered all over the country, but the West has a bit more than normal.
I say it every year, but I am eager to see how Miller pulls this class together and who we end up with.
I really like Christopher I remember his brother playing for California hope he visits us.
Update on Joshua
Arizona: "Sean Miller and company, they always send me their draft picks and what not, so they clearly understand that they can me to the next level so of course I appreciate that."
More on Christopher below

Glad Hurley is still in the mix and giving advice on how to get drafted.
Ask Cheatam and Doet how the process works up there...
Sean Miller has recruited him for a long time I hope he takes a visit we will have a good shot at him if he does.
Christopher's brother goes to ASU and he let's it be known that it will not affect his decision as far as UofA is concerned.
Joshua on Arizona's
"I love (former UA standout) Stanley Johnson, so that's a major factor for me," Christopher said. "I got to watch him play there and I have a lot of friends over there. So they obviously like California kids."

That would be awesome if we could land Christopher especially you know asu offered other brother to get Josh Christopher but it's more than that to me he is one of the top players in 2020 class that would be big.
I feel like Miller has been recruiting JC since his freshman year, if not sooner.
This one would hurt if for no other reason than the amount of time invested in him to see him go to another PAC-12 program (assumably).
True on that.
Christopher does not have Arizona on his final 5 list
https://twitter.com/Jaygup23/status/1154267303153790977
That's really disappointing I thought Arizona would make top 5 list an Sean Miller had recruited for probably atleast 3yrs I guess you can't win them all dam he was on my wishlist.
He will probably pick Kentucky.
Well hamster called it an said we were not in it for chritopher he was right I thought we had a chance hopefully we can land ziaire willams that will not be a easy task though.
I have been invested in recruiting long enough to know the "science" behind the top schools listing.
I am trying to figure out how we don't make the list over Mizzou or Michigan who just saw their coach bolt for the NBA.
Having Arizona on there looks a lot better than both of those schools right now.
ASSU/UK and UCLA I understand for various reasons, but Mizzou/Michigan > Arizona?

He is the cousin of Missouri strength coach
Thought it was a sign because he named himself "Josh(UA)" on the tweet.
Whatever. With Terry on the wing, we have a nice option to distribute the ball from the entire half-court.
