Arizona commit Dalen Terry has turned into the Wildcats biggest recruiter.
Very interesting article talking about how Terry is working with the coaches to help recruit is peers to Arizona. Technology is really changing the recruiting game & Miller is all over it.
"[Arizona coach] Sean Miller wanted me to commit [early]," Terry explained Sunday, a few minutes after completing camp at the United States Olympic & Paralympic Training Center. "[The staff] wanted me to commit early because they knew I could get guys. So they told me a bunch of guys [to target], and then I came back [to them] with even more guys. We had a conversation about who to get at; I was just mentioning a lot of players. And they were saying, 'Can we get them?' And I was like, 'Yeah, you can get them.' So I'm gonna keep recruiting them."

Man what a solid pickup for U of A, and he already has some names in mind. Go get 'em Terry and staff! BTFD!
What's better than a talented wing that averages 11.4 assists per game in HS?
A bad*** recruiter.
Never though I'd see the day that an article by Gary Parrish mentions Sean Miller and recruiting and didn't mention money.
As recently as 3 weeks ago he was saying that Arizona was gonna get hammered by the NCAA, wonder why he's backing off now.
It's not like there's less evidence now of violations as there was at the beginning of the month.
U of A has definitely developed a tradition of player-to-player recruiting during the Miller era. Each incoming class follows the example of the classes before them, and I love it.
I mean, how are we able to pull top tier classes and steal recruits away from the dynasty schools?
1) Sean is the most obsessive and devoted recruiter in the game, easily.
2) Our players want to get involved and help Sean any way they can.
3) Our fanbase is second to none.
The combination yields results that shouldn't be possible for a west coast school in Arizona. It's magic.
Dalen Terry = Nick Johnson 2.0?
Anyway, it is only fitting the college basketball mirrors the NBA.
I mean the prospects already do it during the AAU season, so it doesn't surprise me that they do it when it comes to recruiting also.
Salute to you though DT for helping to bring the best class possible to Arizona!

What? They're nothing alike
Love to see players recruiting players... been going on forever...
Really think that while we retire Jersey's in BB and not numbers, there is one number that should be permanently retired and that is Sean Elliot's. I freaked out and thought 23 was it but then remembered it was 32... whew... dyslexia creeping in

I was thinking the exact same thing, Reed. Nick Johnson was just as important of a recruiter as the rest of our staff (while he was in high school AND in Tucson). NJ was invaluable to this program.
I glad we landed our first 2020 recruit an that he is committed to helping with recruiting the fact that coaching staff have him a list an he added players to that list is fantastic an he follows a list of players that we had or have that recruited like IRA Lee b.will .

Do you remember how hard Nick Johnson was out recruiting for us after he committed, especially among his Oakland Soldier teammates.
Don't think that it was all CSM for us landing Ashley/Gordon and Johnson.
Nick had a lot to do with that as well.
FYI the comparison has nothing to do with their style of play and everything to do with the topic of this thread.
We are talking about Terry being another recruiter for Arizona, nothing about his play on the floor.
