How many points, rebounds, & assists do you think Nico Manion will average his freshman season? We've got a few members debating just how good Nico will be this upcoming season. It'll be fun to look back on this post as the season goes on.
18, 7, 6.
Book it, I'm like the Merovingian with this stuff.
Only one freshman in the Sean Miller era has averaged 16+ppg, Deandre Ayton.
These are the leading scorers for each year Miller has been here:
09-10: Derrick Williams, 15.7ppg
10-11: Derrick Williams, 19.5ppg
11-12: Kyle Fogg, 13.5ppg
12-13: Mark Lyons, 15.6ppg
13-14: Nick Johnson, 16.3ppg
14-15: Stanley Johnson, 13.8ppg
15-16: Ryan Anderson, 15.3ppg
16-17: Allonzo Trier, 17.2 ppg (18 games played)
17-18: Deandre Ayton, 20.1ppg
18-19: Brandon Randolph, 12.4ppg
Miller's system does not allow for guys to put up crazy scoring averages unless the team is very top heavy. When Miller has a balanced team, ths scoring is distributed very evenly. Next year looks like a balanced roster.
14 pts; 5 rbs; 8 assists
16,5,7
16, 4, 5
15/5/5 is achievable but methinks high on pts and rebounds given the roster and system. Still it's what I would like to see. Probably close to 14/3/6 by end of year. Even that's a lot of leash at point for a freshman.
16/5/4
I'll go with
13.5p
5a
4r

great point
This will be the only time I address you because of your well established douchebaggery, but don't you dare try to take my observation on Miller's offense down your perverted rabbit hole of inane blabbering and scattershot shitposts.
But back to the point, when Miller has a lot of options on offense, he spreads it around. If this roster is as talented and deep as people think it is, Nico probably won't need to put up huge scoring numbers.
I am going to say 17PPG/4 REB/6 ASSIST. Anybody wanna try Josh green now.
14.5 PPG
4 RPG
5 APG
15 pts/ 6 ast/ 2 stl on efficient numbers 45% from the field and 40% from the 3.
Just under 14 ppg -- just over 4 rbds -- between 5-6 assists, depending on how well his teammates shoot the ball.
because of all the talent around him, he wont have to do it all himself:
12 pts 3 rbs 5-6 assists
I would guess he'd go 16 pts 3 rb 6 assists. I'm wondering on the pts., 'cause he can shoot the 3 well and he has them ball handlin skeeels...and can drive and dunk. If he carries all that to college ball he could be a Trier type offensive weapon.
19ppg
7ast
4reb
Lonzo ball averaged 7.6 apg on one of the fastest paced teams in recent years. Senior TJ McConnell averaged 6.3 apg with a great offensive arsenal around him.
Nico will be closer to the 4-5 apg range. In a different system, yes Nico is capable of some of the assist numbers mentioned. But unless you think Miller is going to all of a sudden change his philosophies, it's highly unlikely.
Stop drinking the Liquid. Nico is better than Lonzo Ball right now today.
11pts/3 rebounds/ 4.5 assists per game with a 3/1 TO ratio.
Nothing crazy from me:
17 ppg
6 assists
4-5 Reb
1.5 steals
Shooting splits of:
50/40/90
In the running for Pac12 POY
First Team All Pac12
Pac12 Tournament MVP
NCAA Tourney MOP
National Champion
Lady killer
15/5
Liquid copy and paste the above post into the thread below as i've moved all non nico mannion prediction posts there. All talk about Miller's play style needs to go there.

Bump
Thought it would be fun to revisit this
At his point of the season Nico currently is averaging 14.2 pts, 5.8 asts, 2.6 rebs
Looks like KansasCityCats and jumpinjohnny are pretty close with 14.5 PPG 4 RPG 5 APG, and 14pts, 5-6 asts 4 rebs respectively.
