Marvin Bagley Jr. responds to story that Marvin Bagley III is considering reclassifying
Bagley, 6-foot-11, the No. 1 national recruit in the country in the class of 2018, has played in just two high schools seasons -- his first at Tempe Corona del Sol in 2014-15, when he was azcentral sports' Player of the Year; and again last season at Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon, where he was the California POY.
Asked if his son was going to reclassify and start college in the fall, Bagley Jr., responded in a text: "LOL!!! You guys are too funny. You should ask whoever started the rumor. They seem to know more than we do."
Bagley has always been an exceptional student. It is not known whether he has finished or is close to finishing his high school academic requirements.
