Title: Emmanuel (The Quitter) Akot to Boise State
Post by: FOOS on April 11, 2019, 06:52:20 AM
Former Arizona Wildcats forward Emmanuel Akot is set to transfer to Boise State, according to the Exum Elite Twitter account, which Akot retweeted.

The 6-foot-7 Canadian is finishing up the spring semester at the UA, so he will join the Broncos in the summer. The sophomore will have to sit out the 2019-20 season before having two years of eligibility at Boise State.

I hope he does well.  The kid is gifted for his size, but never played to his potential in Tucson.

Glad that he isn't eligible to play next season.  The BS excuse of Arizona being under investigation is ridiculous.

Addition by subtraction!  Hope nothing but the best for him, but they way he abandoned his teammates was not cool.

Hey realistically, TA could come in and fill the role I thought EA would fill.
Difference is we have enough PGs on the roster now, but he could still be a PG with the right lineup.
I wonder who is going to be our lockdown defender next season?
It would have to be JG or TA because of their length/athleticism right?

I think Ira is under the radar to step up as our best defender.

One (or some) of the freshmen need to help contain the outside shooters, yet Lee has improved drastically and has stayed out of foul trouble.

If he can earn enough PT, I think he can guard any interior player in the PAC-12.

There are a lot of people on this site that believe IL will be our starting PF next season.
I can see the motion, but the problem I have is I can make an argument for about three other players to start at the same position.
This off-season is going to be interesting to see how the dominoes fall and who ends up starting, playing, and out of the rotation altogether.

I think he is starter material as he has improved a lot since he arrived, but the talent around him is pretty good. He will get his time but maybe not as a starter.

Oh let me make this very clear, I believe he will be the 1st big off the bench.
He is going to spell Jeter/Nnaji and play as long as he can make an impact and/or into the starter is ready to come back in.

I respect how much Lee has not only changed his body but allowed the game to come to him.
He's put on the weight, and now you see him trying to do less dribbling and more getting to the rim.
He is going to have some putback dunks that will send McKale going nuts next season.
