His top 2 are Gonzaga & Arizona. Miller is working on getting the Big man to set up an official visit asap.

Ballo highlights = BEAST
Fingers crossed.
Fingers crossed also because I read about a month ago that a couple recruiting analyst were saying he is going to Gonzaga. Hope Arizona gets a shot an he visits.
Front court could use him.
Miller should have known he can't win without two good bigs.
Every time we rely heavily on one single big, things don't work so well for us.
2010-11 was the exception to the rule because DW hardly missed time.
We missed CJ for two games and got blasted by 20+ and the game he comes back, doesn't start but we're missing our 2nd best G and we lose in OT.
Jeter/Lee/Nnaji/Gettings is a nice core, but we need a big body (Tarczewski/Ristic/Ayton) to man the middle.
I don't think we get Ballo, but I applaud Miller for his effort.
We need to look towards the grad-transfer free-agency market again this off-season as a stop and hope Koloko is ready as a RS Freshman in 2020.
If he visits?
One solid thing is the recent surge of bigs from Arizona having solid careers jn the league. Does Gonzaga have that track record to compare to? There is a chance IF he visits.

Well Ivan Rabb and Justice Winslow says visiting Arizona doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things.
I still don't get who Ballo will be backfilling.
Is Jeter leaving early, or is Lee transferring? If neither...will Nnaji exclusively play the PF position while Koloko redshirts?
This recruitment seems odd.

And those kids are where? Look, every kid that looks is not going to come to Arizona!

After this season the more bigs the better. Ballo is built like no one we have for next year. Plus if history has shown us any thing, its that a team can never have too much depth.
Very few quality big men in the 2020 class so the more we can land in this class the better. Don't ever want to be this limited as far as size and depth with size in the frontcourt ever again.

Then why mention visiting then if that is your response?
You mentioned my point exactly, that visiting doesn't mean much.
Miller can get Ballo to visit and he still choose Gonzaga.
A visit doesn't mean anything as much with this generation, but a free trip to a new place to experience.

Zeke was recruited as a PF and will log majority of his minutes there. Koloko is expected to redshirt
Lee isn't transferring. Jeter is still up in the air, my guess is he'll return for his senior year
Lee better not transfer. If anything, tell shareef to come back and join him.
On another note, why aren't we recruiting either of these guys from Arizona? I've seen both, and they are good. And the only reason Chol's rating is low right now is because he had a prolonged absence from HS ball. He was a phenom as a freshman though and hasn't forgotten how to play. Also, that 100% UConn prediction is based off of only 1 prediction and is from a long time ago.

Great question. I'm extremely removed from local AZ recruiting, but there is no reason that our staff shouldn't be targeting two D-1 prospects that are legit frontcourt players.
Either the staff saw something they didn't like (in person), academics are poor...or they are completely blind.
I think Carl Lewis is interested in football, as well. Could be other issues as he is very under recruited for a kid of his talent.

Thought he was a sprinter.

ahah yessir he was. Gotta be annoying having the same name as him lol.
Ballo commits to Gonzaga. It was gonna be almost impossible getting him to go anywhere else as he already built a relationship with them.

I thought it would be tough too land him I thought there was a chance5if he visited but he did not.
Pretty obvious he was going to Gonzaga when the last minute recruiting shifted to Skogland in the frontcourt.
