I went to watch Rainier Beach play against Sheldon, a local powerhouse program here in Northern California.
A friend of mine has a son that plays on the team.
As the game is going on, I realize that Beauchamp (2020 5* propsect) is on the team!

And that is far as I got as being excited about the kid.
For as long as he is 6'7, he was VERY passive.
He practically disappeared for the first half until he had a NASTY block in transition.

His defense was not good at all.
Granted he is a junior and the opposition was quicker than him.
He had a hard time taking the right angles to stay in front of his man off the dribble.
He refused to contest any shot at the rim, and was just there to be honest.

This was not just Beauchamp though.
The entire Rainier Beach team was shook from the jump.
Sheldon was a 6'10 big that was contesting EVERYTHING and between that and the environment in the gym, it was easy to get rattled.
There were some for Rainier Beach that showed up though (0/10/14/20) but Beauchamp and Kemp (yes Shawn Kemp's son) were the stars and struggled to put their stamp on this game.
