Arizona: "It was nice down there. Coach (Sean) Miller preaches a lot about how I will be able to push the ball a lot and they have this thing called the Phoenix Push and they feel like I could play the one through five and I could do whatever for them."

I remember jre mentioned the Phoenix push
What exactly IS the Phoenix Push?
It bet not be what I think it is.
Where our "PF" grabs the rebound and pushes it up the floor?
It's when GCU pushes ASSU out as the best program in the Phoenix metro.
I thought the "Phoenix Push" was a dance move first seen on Soul Train in the late 1970's.
Nico is recruiting Jalen Johnson hard

NM is trying to say that is planning I'm still being at Arizona for the start of the 2020-21 season?
He's made it very clear he wants to be a OND, and those chances may spike once he starts playing.
Unless he goes the SJ route, really likes Arizona and wants to come back?

Jalen Johnson on Arizona
Arizona: "Coach Justin Gainey we had a previous relationship when he was at Marquette so just having that type of relationship with Coach Gainey and Coach (Sean) Miller, they've made it clear that they want me there. The class they have coming in is really good and I could see myself playing there. It was beautiful there and they have this thing called Phoenix Push where a lot of their big guards like Stanley Johnson and Aaron Gordon have pushed the ball and they compare me to that."

It is a fast break offense the Phoenix Suns ran in their Mike D'Antoni years. It became popular in basketball. I looked up the specifics.
PG wants to push ball as fast as he can looking for a drive for a layup or a kick out to a shooter. 2 shooters sprint to corners. Best big sprints opposite side with PG and 5 man trails play. In Miller's system he lets 3s & 4s grab the board and push. AG, Rondae, & Hill would all grab boards and push the ball themselves if they could.

Thanks AZBD!
It basically is what I thought, a regular fast break with a forward pushing it up the floor.
I mean RHJ and SH were SFs so I don't see that as a big deal.
AG was the exception because he was a freak athlete, a poor man's Giannis.
All of those made sense to me..
