6'9 F from Blue Valley Northwest High School
Braun is class of 2018 PF now listed at 6'9 205lbs. Scored 12pts, 6rbs, 2bl and shot 43% from 3.
Here's another video of Parker with his brother. I say he looks pretty good and could end up being a diamond in the rough type player
After watching video of Parker, I've noticed his strengths are good positioning around the basket. He has a variety of post moves. He's a stretch 4 as he can hit the 3. His defensive success may be due to him being physically imposing at the high school level as many of his blocks appear to be against much smaller players. I see his major weakness as being his need to add more productive weight so he gains additional athleticism. It'll also help him not get pushed around as much at the college level. If he stays near his current weight, he'll often play against guys that outweigh him by 20-50 lbs. at his height or taller.
Nice to see an offer to out to another PF, but this kid seems to have to sit for a bit to develop.
He could be a possible redshirt candidate, and hopefully will be ready after sitting a year.
Either way, Miller is still trying to get this roster in order.
It's like our 2009 class all over again..

Was going to say, his brother has great handles and seems pretty athletic.
Now that I think about it, Parker is EXACTLY the type of recruit we need to bring in.
Someone that we know is going to be with the program 4-5 years, be a 3-4 year contributor, whether he starts or comes off the bench to solidify a spot in the rotation for 3-4 years.
Parker could be the cornerstone of maintaining the prestige of the program.
To Parker, I apologize for selling you short.
Come to Arizona, Rounds will easily put about 15-20lbs on you, and be ready to hit the ground running when your number is called.
I would LOVE for you to come to Arizona!
Braun is currently visiting LSU. No word on an Arizona visit as of yet

Seems like Miller usually has one guy on the bench who is marinating for future use, Braun could be that player next year. Looks like he can develop down the line and be a nice system player.
If Parker Braun really 6'9 and not 6'6 or 6'7 like some say he is then he's a big time sleeper. I've watched a ton of videos on him and he's got good footwork and can really drain the 3. Braun was said to be the back up plan just in case Brown fell though, so Miller should be working on getting him to Arizona next. We'll keep you posted.

My initial question was going to be why isn't Miller trying to fill those final two roster spots?
Then I figured he's trying to leave space to add more bodies since we only have two senior in the 2018-19 season with Coleman & Luther.
If we land Braun that would be three scholarships, but we never know if someone transfers out or a surprise declaration to enter the NBA Draft (Jerrett).
Miller is still playing his hand until he has no more cards to play..
Yep, only 2 seniors and we will need some bigs. Nico will yake one spot so not much room for error.
Best to save the last spot for next year at this point.
Braun to visit Arizona soon

And we are now hearing that Braun has not been invited for a visit as of yet. The reason given was that Arizona needed more time to evaluate him. So, as of now Parker is not set for an official visit contrary to yesterdays reports. This is per a source close to Parker.
Here's a quote from 247sports on Braun planning to visit UofA:
With the dead period going on right now, Braun is waiting to make his next official visit, which will be to Arizona after the dead period ends this week.
