Miller offers Belgium recruit Omar Thielemans 6'7 205lbs & he'll visit UofA tomorrow. His team in Belguim Gistel Oostende has been benching him to try & keep him secret, so they don't lose him. He looks pretty good in the limited amount of highlights he has. Check him out below.

UPDATED with more highlights
looks like a solid wing.
NOW THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!!!
Miller going out to find us a SF/Wing for the immediate future.
It's official, I will NEVER doubt Miller EVER again!!
He knows what he is doing, what he needs and what the program needs.
This kid looks good! He reminds me of a point forward like Luke Walton but more athletic!

I don't think we would have had a F like him in Miller's tenure.
The closest I would say would be Hill, but he didn't have the passing ability that Thielemans appears to have.
I would love to see how our offense would run with essentially two playmakers on the floor at the same time.
We have normally had one guy that would do so (McConnell/PJC), so to have two I would imagine would make our offense more efficient and effective.
Omar could commit tomorrow. Stay tuned.

This was the ONE position that I was worried about going into the 2018-19 was SF.
We only had the grad transfer from Pitt but he was more of a PF.
Then in about what, 72 hours, Miller has begun to recruit not one, but two SF prospects?
This man is trying to put a team together with the crumbs that was left from everyone else getting theirs.
He is making sure that he does all he can to put together the best roster he can to continue to sit atop the PAC-12.
Respect..
Just spoke with Omar & he's very excited about his UofA visit today. He also said he'd let us know when he'll announce & more.
BearDown!
We miss that lengthy defensive oriented small forward. Seems like we've always had one under Miller. Solo, Parrom, RHJ, Stanley and then... our defense went to crap lol. Kid is an amazing passer also. Could see him running the point.

Our offense has been better with the point-forwards.
With a traditional PG, and a point-forward to be able to run our offensive sets or to push in transition makes things better for us as we have more guys that can initiate the offense makes us more dangerous to guard.

I definitely agree. We used to always put that small forward at FT line against zone defenses, also. When we had guys like solo, stanley, RHj, etc, they could either put in an easy shot, drive to the hoop or kick it out as the zone collapses. Our lack of a true SF who can pass has hurt us against zones. After we lost all of those guys, our effectiveness against zone defenses went to crap and it seemed to always end in a forced 3pt shot. It would be so nice to have that defensive stopper and great passer back into Miller's system. Think it would fix many issues we have seen the past few years.
Akot?
