Title: Summer recruiting
Post by: Little George on June 12, 2017, 08:36:42 AM
I would expect a few commits over the next month for sure. The fact is they are not afraid to commit because it is not binding and they most likely will continue to take visits to other schools like most do. Fact is other coaches will use the RR on the hot seat to steal guys away, but most would not sign even if there was no signing date until they see what happens this year. The early signing period will still be huge for us in terms of knowing who is really committed and who is playing games. If a committed player does not sign early after the results of the season are played out, then they are not really committed and RR can still pursue other options. Several Arizona targets are wanting to decide before the season starts so I would expect them to start that process soon. The other factor is offical visits. Players cannot take them until their senior year, so if a committed player wants to take them, you know the risks. Brings back the questions of "are they committed or not?". I know I would want to take my visits all over the place. Free travel? Oh yea! Cannot blame the kids for that.

It does seem like Rich Rod is offering more players than ever before.  I hope you're right and a lot of the players that commit will stay committed.
