Title: Appreciation Of Miller
Post by: mvpreed2 on April 01, 2018, 12:25:27 PM
A few nights ago, I was looking at the ESPNU 100 rankings.

There were eight uncommitted prospects:
One is uncommitted and he won't be coming to Arizona (Langford)
One is 19 and is entering the NBA Draft (Simmons)
One is a PF from Georgia (Montgomery)
One is a PG from Missouri (Ramey)

That leaves four remaining, and Miller is on ALL four of them!
Williams/Brown/Doutrive/Akinjo are all uncommitted, all from California, and Miller is trying to get all of them!
For those that are worried about our recruiting, how about four ESPNU recruits?

Miller is still out there grinding, trying to keep Arizona atop the PAC-12.
Just sit on your hands (literally) and wait until ALL the dominoes have fallen before we make a statement about our program.

Coach Miller endured an attack on himself and the Wildcat basketball team that FEW OTHERS have had to deal with.  Most of the other high level coaches GET AWAY with worse activities than Coach Miller was wrongfully accused of.  The Wildcat team had to deal with the attack on their coach.  They had to deal with what was done to ZO(for the second time), and with the injury to Rawle.  Zo had to deal with being accused of using PED's...the second time in two seasons.  And yet this team with this coach won the Pac-12 conference title.  They won the Pac-12 tourney.

As far as the NCAA tourney...that was a flub.  It was one of those things.  The team they played, played like a lot of teams do when they play the Wildcats.  They played 4 times better than they really are.  But before anyone, and I do mean ANYONE, can judge how the Wildcats played in the Dance...Maybe they should look at Virginia.  Was their coach wrongfully accused of doing something that could end his career.  Were people calling for his job after hearing baseless claims about him?  Did the Virginia team have to deal with that?  Did one of their players get wrongfully accused of using PED's...For the second year in a row?  And yet they lost to a 16 seed!!!  A 1 seed losing to a 16 seed...that's a new one...isn't it?

And right now our coach is out busting his backside to try to get enough recruits to make sure that Arizona will have another GREAT season!  I'll take our coach over all the pomp and fluff that's out there....ANYDAY!!

BTFD Coach Miller!!!

It's great that he's on all of them but none of them are coming here. Why would anyone come here with all this shit looming over us. I love that you guys see a glass half full but I don't think any of you realize how absolutely fucked we are.

Well you made this post about a week ago?
Since then, Miller has got a commitment AND signed LOI from Doutrive.
And according to WILDcatAZfan, Akinjo is going to be the next one on board.
EDIT: Akinjo to Georgetown
Then we have the SF from Belgium visiting tomorrow, and who knows what can happen with that.
Shortly after that, all signs appear to point to Williams still being in the fold pending his upcoming visit to Oregon.

How absolutely fucked are we again?
About a week ago we had no real idea who we were in on, or who Miller was really after.
Now we have a SG committed, a SF visiting tomorrow, and possibly our PG of the future still on the table?
Let's not forget all the grad transfers and the biggest big of them all, Jordan Brown!
We could be looking very well by the end of the month, just sit on your hands (literally) and continue to watch the dominoes fall.
