Tevian Jones 6'6 200lb SF has received an offer from Arizona. Miller & Romar watched & offered the California product on Wednesday night. Tevian has played along side Arizona commits Shareef O'neal (pictured below) & Brandon Williams on the AAU circuit & Arizona is looking to have them team up again in 2018.

Be nice to have him commit like... ASAP so some confidence in the program is instilled in potential big men for this class.

I love when we land top recruits but there is just something about these types of lower ranked players that gets me excited. Not only because they tend to stay longer but simply because there are no expectations. With guys like Deandre you know they're going to be great (which is awesome) but it's fun not knowing what exactly you're getting in a player. Then watching them develop into players like Derrick Williams or Solomon hill. When they leave it feels like they're more "your school's guys" instead of just where they happened to spend a year while they became eligible for the league (not criticizing our 1 and done's)

This offer reminds me of our 2010 recruiting class.
We swung and missed on the elite prospects, so we now have to re-evaluate our board, try to sign players that are more long-term prospects.

I don't know much but I expect this kid to take this offer and commit.
We need bodies that are talented until the smoke clears.
This is the type of athlete that will have a Hill/Parrom type of career here at Arizona.
