Brandon Williams will be in Tucson for USC game & Update on status with UofA

Williams has been committed to Arizona since June and through all the FBI drama unfolding in September, he's stayed committed to the Wildcats along with five-star forward Shareef O'Neal.

"I text Shareef every day. I actually talked to him before the game today just about random stuff. So when you're that close off the court, the chemistry is going to come easy on the court," Williams said.

It's unusual for the Pac-12 powerhouse to only have two players in any recruiting class, but neither O'Neal or Williams seem to be that concerned with it just being the two of them coming in next year.

"I'm feeling really comfortable with what we have with me, Shareef and then we have Chase (Jeter)coming in next year as well so that takes care of the bigs component. And as far as guards, Coach (Sean) Miller does a great job getting any guard to where they need to be for the next level so I'm confident with what we have going into next year," Williams said.

Looks like Brandon Williams had a change of plans and will not be at the Arizona Vs USC game on Saturday.

The issue doesn't seem to be with the "committed" players that we have.
I know the loophole that binds us to honor their scholarships, but there is nothing binding them to Arizona, for now at least.
The problem is filling what appears to be the other four open scholarships that we are going to have after this season.

Well I guess until they officially declare, we only have three scholarships available to use on our 2018 class.
Good to see that Williams and O'Neal have remained a part of our recruiting class through all of the nonsense.

Recruiting is such a bummer for Arizona right now.  I hope he isn't pulled out from under us.

Welp - waiting for Brandon to decommit.  I could not blame him at this point

Pray that Brandon Williams doesn't decommit. He's our last hope for next year's class.

What makes people think that he would stay committed?
Miller appears to be on his way out, which is what most recruits mention (outside of Book) as a good relationship with our coaching staff, etc.
O'Neal already jumped ship, and unless we are acquitted of everything with Miller and this $100K, Williams is going to be walking as well.

The biggest question I have, is where are all of these boys going to go when the list is going to be so damn long that almost every major program is going to be implicated?

I believe it's because Miller publicly stated he would be vindicated. Shareef had been wavering for a while, but not Williams. His dream school is Arizona and Miller must have given him his word that the news about FBI wire taps were all lies. Williams talked with his family about the situation yesterday and he hasn't decommitted. He could be the most important recruit ever as far as getting us through this tough time if he sticks it out.
