I watched both of these pressers, but the one with Trier was very short and more or less was just an admission that he knows the team didn't play like they should have. Coach Miller's presser, on the other hand was longer and had lots to see/hear and let anyone watching know he's not happy. Not one bit. First, he did his usual...he complimented Colorado on their game. Then he went into what went wrong. And he made it very clear that he was responsible and accepting full responsibility for this game. One thing which is a clear signal if I'm not just making a wrong reading here; he was VERY PISSED OFF. I've watched his pressers since he got here. I've watched the ones with Brian Jefferies, the postgames after road games, and the ones after home games. I can't ever recall him rocking back and forth, forward and backward throughout. He made a couple of telling statements. First he admitted his fault, that he didn't have them ready. He took the blame. Then he told you he was going to fix this. I really don't mean he said "I'm going to fix this." He said he couldn't get through to these players. To me he just told us that that haven't been listening to his directions that they will give 100%, every minute they are on the floor. I really, REALLY feel sorry for these guys until the next game. Kinda not, because they could've prevented this...but I do because in my opinion he just told everyone that he is going to make sure he GETS THROUGH TO THEM! I'd bet practices are going to be insanely intense until the next game at least, or maybe for a few weeks.
This is what I got from this presser. This is what I feel Coach Miller was telling us all in that short time. Did anyone else see/hear this also, or should I just watch less basketball and get back to reality?
More from Miller after the loss. It almost seems like he's saying the players don't want to play hard for him and I think it has something to do with Book being gone. I agree Titan the players are in for some tough practices. What do you guys think?

I believe that the players are not buying into the go just as hard on defense as on offense. In my opinion I believe it's because they think they're good enough offensively that they don't have to be any good defensively to still win. I also believe games like this where their effort on defense is terrible and the offense doesn't click because of a zone, or altitude, or whatever can work to Coach Miller's effort to convince them that poor defense is not an option unless they don't like winning. Because as sure as they'll come out and play lousy defense, the more often they'll lose because offense isn't always a guarantee.
Many good points. It is now up to the players. BUT-- some of it does fall back on subs, etc. If you are having a bad game coaches need to try someone else
Lack of effort shows it's ugly head in games like this. Colorado had nothing to lose. That's why they changed their defense and went zone the whole weekend. We need to play with heart and soul every game every time every player...
The players must have forgot how much easier it was to score when we got blocks/defensive rebounds and run-outs in transition that resulted in 3PT/dunks/lay-ups.
Defense is ALWAYS going to keep you in a game, even when your shots don't drop.
I always have been a believer of a "defense wins games when offense can't" type of person.
I also have never been on a team with former All-State, All-Region and All-American caliber players, so I don't know what goes on behind the scenes.
This team has the potential to do it, but if something doesn't change, this will be another team we can add to list of "Final Four teams that couldn't make it, just like the 2013/2014/2016 teams.
So much talent on paper. I once coached a womens soccer team with this kind of talent. BUT..paper doesn't matter- we had a terrible season because the group would not play team ball. Sometimes a solid team of 3 and 4 star players is way better than a bunch of all stars. It is not too late, and we do have the kids that can turn this around. We have to sub better, and change up the lineup when things are not going well. I like Pinder's defense, rebounding, and his hustle and aggressive attitude. and he can finish under the basket. I think he needs more time with Ayton Just my humble opinion. BEAR DOWN CATS!!!
