This is strictly based on "name". Arizona will only return a maximum of 3 contributors.
If I had to put my money on one of the above programs, it would be Illinois. Although they'll likely lose a few kids to the draft, they "could" bring back Mirkovic, Lee, Stojakovic, Ivisic (both), Davis and Wagler. Realistically, I think they bring Davis, Ivisic (one), Lee and Mirkovic back...in addition to their young bench AND four commits (two within the top-60).
Their fans were annoying as hell so I hope they don't return to the Final Four but it seems inevitable.
I have a feeling Tommy will find a couple of Euro Ballers of unknown name brand at the moment to come in and then add 1 Gritty PG.
He needs a Gap Year of paid mercenaries to go with whatever is left over.
2027 Class is horrible. If anyone watched the McDonald's All American Game, no one could shoot the ball. It was all Dunkers.
Either way, Tommy should promise Aristode as many minutes as he wants. It would be foolhardy to watch him leave after not even trying to get him meaningful involvement this season.
I don't expect much, but a team can be forged together
I agree that retaining Aristode should be a priority. I'm sure Lloyd is working on it...but it may be too late because he's a talented kid that deservedly played as our 8th man. As a true Freshman on the 2nd best team in the country, that isn't shameful, yet Aristode may already have one foot out the door.
We'll find out shortly.
I am willing to roll with these odds assuming EVERYONE comes back with eligibility, but we know that is not how the game is usually played.
Kharchenkov/Krivas/Aristode would have to come back for me to buy in.
Anyone of those three leaving, and my odds drastically drop until the rest of the roster is set.
