Arizona Dominates the Glass in 101–76 Win Over Kansas State

No. 1 Arizona continued its dominant start to the season with a 101–76 victory over Kansas State on Saturday at McKale Memorial Center. The Wildcats improved to 15–0 overall and 2–0 in Big 12 play, overwhelming the Wildcats from Manhattan with size, depth, and relentless rebounding. Freshman Brayden Burries led Arizona with 28 points and nine rebounds, while Motiejus Krivas added 25 points and 12 rebounds, recording his third double-double of the season. Arizona finished with a commanding 55–32 rebounding advantage, setting the tone early and never relinquishing control.

Arizona's interior dominance proved decisive, as the Wildcats scored 56 points in the paint and turned second-chance opportunities into consistent offense. Despite shooting just 3-of-16 from three-point range, Arizona built separation with a 14–0 second-half run that pushed the lead beyond reach. Kansas State struggled to keep pace, shooting 8-of-36 from beyond the arc, and couldn't match Arizona's physicality. P.J. Haggerty paced Kansas State with 19 points and seven assists, but the visitors were unable to slow Arizona's balanced attack.

Arizona now turns its attention to its next Big 12 challenge with a road matchup at TCU looming. The Horned Frogs present a tougher test away from Tucson, especially with their defensive pressure and physical play. Arizona will look to continue its dominance on the boards and maintain its unbeaten run as conference play intensifies. A strong performance would further solidify the Wildcats as a national title contender heading deeper into the season.

I've been busy with work during peak season, but I'm back!
What Reed Sees: Kansas State edition!
I hope yall enjoy these!

Pros
- Krivas needs to have a bigger role in this offense (+)
- Way to force KSU's All-American Haggerty to have a tough game on defense! (+)

Cons
- What is up with the back-screens for easy baskets? (-)

Comments
- Kharchenkov is still my favorite player, and we better start appreciating him because he is not going to be here as long as some of you thought he would be before the season!

- Can Lloyd figure out an offense where both Burries AND Peat can shine on the floor at the same time?

- Lloyd thinks he is slick running that "seal" that is actually a screen that they run in transition to clear out the paint for the easy lay-up.

- Thank you Lloyd for putting the subs in with more than 1min to go in the game.

This game did not have much to say about.
Those boys stepped on Kansas State early and cruised to a blowout victory.
See you after the TCU game!
