The only complaint I have from that highlight video is at 0:28. That kind of "all or nothing" shot should never happen. This isn't AAU. Other than that, he played one hell of a game. He's comfortable out there.

Usually I'd agree with you on that but he was starting to feel it with the lob pass and then the breakaway layup, it was the ONLY time a player can justify that shot and Burries is that guy

I don't want to ruin my "What Reed Sees" segment that I put in the game thread, but I hope this was Burries coming out party.
We...excuse me, I have been waiting for Burries to play like the 5* OAD prospect that we all dubbed him to be once he committed.
He played just like that yesterday, and I am happy for him, Lloyd, and this team because having four guys that could drop +20pts on you is hard to coach/scout against because of the way Arizona plays.

Pretty impressive SECOND half performance, considering the fact that (I think) he started 1 for 8 from the field (including a missed FT).
Similar to Love last season, Burries has a lot of confidence. It may hurt us at times but I think he'll only improve as the season progresses, and last night was a perfect example.

Now it is time for Aristode to have his moment and add that extra element that we need with his 6'8" 220 frame.

I doubt it because if he struggles like that, then gets a couple shots up early 2nd Half and they don't go down then Tommy will bench him / Bradley will take the control back and go through Koa Peat - whom which was not really needed in that game.
This is also where Aristode needs to be more "ready" than he is currently too. Just in case. There will inevitably come a time we need Aristode to give us an 18-20pt performance with 4 or 5 momentum swinging 3's plus dunks/FT's.
I would have thought the same thing but Lloyd didn't bench Burries when he missed 7 consecutive field goals on Saturday. I'm hoping that Aristode slowly increases his minutes throughout conference play so he can improve his ballhandling. The jumper is obviously solid!

2 reasons for that.
Set and Setting.
Set - No choice when playing a team like Alabama who is going to live and die by chucking 3s.
Setting - Foul Trouble forced a few players to have to be micromanaged and Burries was tasked to step up and bridge the gap for Bradley.
Otherwise the expectation holds true. Tommy trusted Burries and it paid off.
Burries is starting to look a bit like a Tyrese Maxey or maybe a little hint of a Devin Booker out there in some ways in the old Kentucky "too much talent" era under Calipari. Sort of a bench guard, not a primary weapon, but a guy who can knock them down and takeover at times.
